Football Holds First Prospect Camp of the Spring

Almost 80 prospects from Maryland, District of Columbia, North Carolina and Virginia gathered at Hovey Field on the VUU campus as Dr. Alvin Parker held the first football prospect camp of the spring during the RVA Exposure Camp on Saturday, May 20.

The prospects were put through drills by the entire VUU football coaching staff.

"This is our first camp of the season, and we're going to have four camps this summer," said Parker.  "We decided to start a little earlier than last year, and it's been very good.  Even though the kids are still in school, we're out of school and phasing into recruiting for 2024 and beyond.  So this is a good opportunity to see kids like that, seeing them on our campus and letting them see the kind of things we do on our campus while also allowing to help us in recruiting."

The next camp is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, at Hovey Field in Richmond, Va.  Full information and registration at http://vuumegacamp.com.
