Virginia Union University will kickoff the 2023 football season in Canton, Ohio, when the Panthers meet Morehouse College in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic on Sunday, September 3.

VUU will have four home games, including the Willard Bailey Classic against Fayetteville State University at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23 and Homecoming 2023 against Lincoln University of Pennsylvania at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21.

"I really like our 2023 schedule, there is a good mixture of home, away and neutral site games," said VUU Head Football Coach Dr. Alvin Parker.  "It will be an awesome experience to open the season in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic in Canton, Ohio, versus Morehouse College. This contest will be extremely huge for our student-athletes and the entire university family. Following that game, we will do something a little different by playing nine straight challenging CIAA opponents. The CIAA plays an excellent brand of football, and we look forward to a challenging 2023 slate. The players and staff are already in preparation mode for the 2023 season."
