Justin Meade was named the CIAA Offensive Lineman of the Year,
Brady Myers was named CIAA Special Teams Player of the Year and VUU Head Football Coach Dr.
Alvin Parker was named CIAA Coach of the Year, it was announced at the CIAA Football Championship Luncheon on Friday, November 10, in Salem, Va.
VUU landed 11 players on the All-CIAA First or Second Teams:
First Team All-CIAA:
Kalen Carver - Tight End
Justin Meade - Offensive Line
Jamaree Moyer - Offensive Line
Jada Byers - Running Back
Brady Myers - Place Kicker
Isaac Anderson - Defensive Line
Shamar Graham - Linebacker
Second-Team All-CIAA:
Mathias Nielsen - Offensive Line
All-Rookie:
Mathias Nielsen - Offense
Jalen Mayo - Defense
Kamari Federick - Defense
"I'm thankful and extremely humbled about being Coach of the Year," said VUU Head Football Coach Dr.
Alvin Parker. "I just want everybody to know that it's not about me, it's about all these guys I coach and about all these guys on my staff. This is a team award. I thank the CIAA giving me this honor, but it's so much bigger than Dr.
Alvin Parker. But I still appreciate it."
VUU will play Fayetteville State University for the CIAA Championship at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va.
