Virginia Union University's Curtis Allen has been named the CIAA Offensive Back of the Week for his performance in VUU's 47-7 win over Saint Augustine's University on Saturday, September 30, in Raleigh, N.C.

Allen, a sophomore from Petersburg, Va., who is majoring in business, rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns in the win.  It marked the second straight week in which Allen has rushed for more than 150 yards.  He rushed for 155 yards against Fayetteville State University on September 23.

"Curtis had another awesome week and he showed great production for our offense," said VUU Head Football Coach Dr. Alvin Parker.  "I'm proud of him, and I look forward to him having more big games this season."

Virginia Union travels to Elizabeth City, N.C., to face Elizabeth City State University at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7.
