Virginia Union University's football team has broken into the Top 25 in two national polls.  The Panthers were ranked #23 in the American Football Coaches Association Poll and were ranked #20 by D2Football.com.

Virginia Union was last ranked in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll on October 21, 2019. The Panthers were ranked No. 25 that week, but they did three spots better in this week's poll. Virginia Union is 3-0 and comes in at No. 22 after a 42-6 beating of Livingstone (N.C.). Next on the Panther's radar is a trip to Fayetteville State (N.C.) this coming Saturday.

"Our program has worked hard to be in this position," said VUU Head Football Coach Dr. Alvin Parker.  "We have tons of support from the administration and the entire campus. The student-athletes have done an awesome job of competing."
