The Virginia Union University Golf Team has received the President's Special Academic Recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America, it was announced on Friday, July 24. 
 
This recognition is for golf teams with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the Academic Year 2019-20.  
 
There were fifteen Division II Teams that were recognized as having GPA of 3.5 or higher and VUU's Golf Team finished with a Team's GPA was 3.57. 
 
"Again, I continue to be proud of the many accomplishments this team has had on the course and in the classroom," said Head VUU Golf Coach E. Lee Coble.  "They truly exemplify the term 'Student-Athlete.'"
