The Carolinas Golf Association 5th Carolinian Amateur was contested at Keith Hills Golf Course Friday, June 12-14th, 2020. Keith Hill Golf Course is located on the banks of the Cape Fear River. Keith Hills has earned some prestigious distinctions, described by prestigious industry publication Golf Digest as a "Four Star Award" and "one of the top 100 values in the country." Keith Hills Golf Club, located in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

The tournament was contested on the Orange and Black Courses, both courses are 6,717 yards, par 72. The best amateurs from NC and SC competed in the 54-holes tournament. The tournament field consisted of 105 players with a 36-holes cut. The top 70 and ties would compete on the final day.

Travon Willis is a rising Junior and a member of the VUU Golf Team. Willis finished with a 54 holes total score of 226 (76, 78, 72) and tied for 40th. This was Willis' first competition since finishing our 2019 Fall Season. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic our 2020 Spring Season was canceled. 

"This is a testament of Travon's hard work during this pandemic. I could not be prouder of the way he played.  They never quit", said VUU Head Golf Coach E. Lee Coble.
