The Virginia Union University Women's Bowling Team competed in the CIAA Event #2 at Holiday Bowl in Chester, Va., on January 24-26 with the event being hosted by Virginia State University.

Amaree Durfee captured high scoring honors for the Northern Division of the CIAA with a 176 scoring average.

The Lady Panthers went 7 and 5 with 3-0 sweeps of Chowan University and Elizabeth City State University. The Lady Panthers went 1 and 2 against VSU but lost 3 to BSU.Â

Kenya McLeod had an average of 160 while teammate Assiaonnia Thomas averaged 126. Virginia Union's Paris Garris averaged 116.

Newcomers Janiya Ison and
Alayah Walker also contributed to the success of the team with averages of 99 and 131, respectfully.

The Lady Panthers are back in action February 6Â at the CIAA Roundup being hosted by Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C.
