Khalid Morris and
Charles Hall IV have been honored by the CIAA for their performance in VUU's 44-0 win over previously unbeaten Livingstone College, it was announced on Monday, October 7.

Morris, a junior quarterback from Petersburg, Va., and majoring in criminal justice, was named the Food Lion CIAA Quarterback of the Week.Â

Morris completed 14 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns, including passes of 38 and 48 yards to Hall, with no interceptions. The junior signal caller also rushed for 27 yards in the win.

Hall, a sophomore wide receiver from Trenton, N.J., majoring in marketing, was named the Food Lion CIAA Receiver of the Week.

Hall caught six passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns (38 and 48 yards) on Saturday. It was Hall's fourth game with over 100 yards receiving and his third with at least two touchdown catches.

"I am definitely happy with the performance of both Charles and Khalid, they both are big time playmakers for our offense," said VUU Head Football Coach Dr.
Alvin Parker. Â "Both have been playing extremely well all season, I am thankful that the CIAA has recognized both for their efforts."

Virginia Union travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to face the Lions of Lincoln University of Pennsylvania at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12.
