Box Score Virginia Union University's Kory Cooley scored 18 points to lead the Panthers to a 90-51 win over Chowan University on Senior Day on Saturday, February 24, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU will enter the CIAA Tournament as the #3 seed in the Northern Division of the CIAA.  The #3 seeding means the Panthers will begin play in the CIAA Tournament on Wednesday, February 28, against the #6 seed in the Southern Division, Winston-Salem State University.  Time of the game has yet to be determined.

VUU's Micah Thomas scored 16 points while teammate Andre Walker recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Virginia Union was paced on the boards by Devin Moore's 12 rebounds.

The win gave VUU a final regular-season record of 14-14 overall and 9-7 in the CIAA.  Chowan fell to 11-15 overall and 5-11 in CIAA play.
