Box Score PHOTO GALLERY | Virginia Union University's Jemal Smith recorded a double-double in scoring and assists as VUU defeated Fayetteville State University 88-59 on Saturday, January 6, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Smith had 11 points and 10 assists as VUU coasted to their ninth win of the season.

VUU was lead in scoring by James Paige's 13 points.  

Virginia Union's Jordan Peebles and Todd Hughes scored 12 points apiece while DeAndre Thomas scored 11 points.

VUU's Devin Moore led the Panthers on the boards with seven rebounds.

The win raised VUU's record to 9-7 overall and kept the Panthers undefeated in the CIAA with a 4-0 record.

Fayetteville State fell to 4-10 overall and 1-3 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now hosts Saint Augustine's University at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 8, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
