Box Score PHOTO GALLERY | Virginia Union University's Jordan Peebles scored a career-high 16 points, but Elizabeth City State University defeated the Panthers 84-80 in Barco-Stevens Hall on Saturday, January 27, in Richmond, Va.

Peebles slammed home three dunks and was 7 of 10 from the field for the game.

VUU was led in scoring by Todd Hughes' 17 points while teammate James Paige pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

Virginia Union's Devin Moore had 12 points while Kory Cooley added 11 points in the game.

VUU's Jemal Smith had a double-double in scoring and assists.  He scored 10 points and dished out 11 assists.

The loss dropped VUU to 11-10 overall and 6-3 in CIAA play.  Elizabeth City State is 7-8 overall and 2-5 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Charlotte, N.C., to face Johnson C. Smith University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31.
