Box Score Virginia Union University's Todd Hughes scored a team-high 19 points as VUU defeated Lincoln (Pa.) University 72-67 on Wednesday, January 24, in Lincoln University, Pa.

Hughes was 7-of-12 from the field while also hitting two three-pointers.

VUU's Kory Cooley scored 17 points in the win while James Paige added 13 points.

Virginia Union's Devin Moore rounded out the double-figure scoring with 12 points.

VUU was led on the boards by Paige and William Jenkins, who had eight rebounds apiece.

The win raised VUU's record to 11-9 overall and 6-2 in the CIAA.  Lincoln fell to 9-10 overall and 4-5 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Elizabeth City State University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
