Box Score Virginia Union University's James Paige scored 22 points, but Shaw University mounted a second-half comeback to defeat VUU 80-76 on Saturday, December 2, in Raleigh, N.C.

Paige hit 9 of 13 shots from the field, including four three-pointers, in the game.

VUU's Marcus Hoosier added 13 points while teammate Devin Moore scored 11 points.

Virginia Union's Kory Cooley grabbed a team-high six rebounds and Jemal Smith dished off six assists.

The loss dropped VUU to 3-5 on the season while Shaw is now 4-4.  This was a non-conference match-up for both teams.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Cheney University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
