Micah Thomas Leads the Way with 17 Points in Win

Box Score Virginia Union University's Micah Thomas scored a season-high 17 points as VUU defeated Livingstone College 88-81 on Saturday, December 16, in Salisbury, N.C.

Thomas, who played at Richmond's Highland Springs High School, scored 15 of his 17 points on three-pointers.

VUU's Kory Cooley scored 16 points and led the Panthers on the boards with eight rebounds.

Virginia Union's freshman guard Jordan Peebles added 14 points in the win while teammate James Paige scored 11 points.

The win raised VUU's record to 7-6 overall and 2-0 in the CIAA.  Livingstone fell to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Shepherd University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
