Box Score Virginia Union University's James Paige scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but the University of Mount Olive defeated the Panthers 64-58 on Saturday, November 18, in Mount Olive, N.C.

VUU's Todd Hughes also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the game.

Virginia Union's Kory Cooley also scored 10 points.

Virginia Union led by as many as six points in the second half when Hughes hit a layup with 14:05 left to make the score 40-34.

But then Mount Olive went on a 19-2 run over the next seven minutes, and recorded their highest lead at 53-42 with 7:44 left in the game.

The loss makes Union's record 1-4 on the season while Mount Olive is now 3-1.

VUU now returns home to host the VUU Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday, November 25, and Sunday, November 26, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Elizabeth City State University will play Winston-Salem State University at 3:00 p.m. with VUU facing Saint Augustine's University at 5:00 p.m. on November 25.

On November 26 Elizabeth City State will play Saint Augustine's at 2:00 p.m. while Virginia Union plays Winston-Salem State at 4:00 p.m.
