Box Score Virginia Union University's Kory Cooley scored 14 points, but Barton College defeated the Panthers 74-66 on the first day of the 52nd Annual Pickle Classic, held at the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C., on Friday, November 17.

Cooley also led VUU with nine assists.

VUU's James Paige scored 13 points while teammate William Jenkins grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Virginia Union's Todd Hughes added 10 points in the game.

The loss drops VUU to 1-3 on the season while Barton is now 1-3.

Virginia Union will play host Mount Olive at 7:00 p.m. on the second day of the Pickle Classic on Saturday, November 18, in Mount Olive, N.C.
