Bowling Goes 9-3 at CIAA Event I

Virignia Union University's women's bowling team went 9-3 at the CIAA North/South Event I, held November 10-12 in Fayetteville, N.C.

The Lady Panthers are off to their best conference start ever and finished a mere two games behind Bowie State University, who went 11-1, for the event.

VUU's Deja Overby recorded the highest individual game score of any Lady Panther with a game of 214.

Virginia Union's Amaree Durfee was the high average newcomer in the Northern Division with an average of 181.0.

Overby averaged 172.7 pins per game while teammate Kenya McLeod averaged 154.0.

VUU's Raeleen Brown averaged 145.8 and Asia Rogers averaged 127.0.

Virginia Union's Aasisonnia Thomas averaged 121.0 pins per game.

The meet concludes VUU's 2017 schedule.  The Lady Panthers return to action at Virginia State University CIAA Event, to be held January 26-28, 2018.
