Box Score Virginia Union University's Todd Hughes scored 19 points, but eighth-ranked Shippensburg University defeated the Panthers in overtime 78-72 on Saturday, November 11, on the second day of the Wolf Bus Lines Classic, held in Shippensburg, Pa.

VUU's Jordan Peebles had tied the game at 55-55 with a dunk off an in-bounds pass with 0.9 seconds left in regulation, but Shippensburg was able to pull out the win in the extra period.

Virginia Union's had 16 points and seven rebounds while teammate Devin Moore added 12 points in the game.

VUU's Kori Cooley had 10 points and William Jenkins also had seven rebounds.

The loss evened Virginia Union's record at 1-1 while Shippensburg is now 2-0.

Virginia Union now travels to Wheeling, W.V., to face #19 Wheeling Jesuit University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15.  The game can be seen live online at vuusports.com.
