Box Score Virginia Union University's John Mitchell recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds as VUU downed Saint Augustine's University 83-75 on Monday, January 9, in Raleigh, N.C.

Mitchell also had two blocks in the win.

VUU's Ray Anderson scored 17 points and dished off three assists in the win.

Virginia Union's Tavon Mealy reached double-figures with 11 points.

The win was the fourth straight for the Panthers, who raised their record to 12-4 overall and 4-0 in the CIAA.

Saint Augustine's fell to 9-7 overall and 3-3 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now returns home to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall to face Livingstone College at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, in Richmond, Va.
