Ray Anderson scored 14 points and grabbed a missed free throw at the buzzer to seal the win for the Panthers.

Devin Moore added 10 points.
In the last three games, VUU has beaten Winston-Salem State University 83-82, Shaw University 74-72 and Fayetteville State 74-73, a total of four points difference.

The win raised Virginia Union's record to 11-4 overall and 3-0 in CIAA play. Â Fayetteville State dropped to 5-8 overall and 1-4 in the CIAA.
Virginia Union now travels to Raleigh, N.C., to face Saint Augustine's University at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 9.
