Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Virginia Union University's volleyball team continued it's winning ways by taking two of three matches at the first CIAA Round-Up, held September 17-18, in Bowie, Md.

VUU defeated Livingstone College 26-28,25-13,23-25,25-17,15-9 on Saturday, then defeated Johnson C. Smith University 23-25,19-25,25-20,25-20,15-5 on Sunday.  In the second match of the day on Saturday, Winston-Salem State University defeated the Lady Panthers 25-12,18-25,25-14,25-21.

VUU's Arianna Bethel and Taylor White had nine kills apiece against Livingstone while Jamaica Adams had 15 defensive digs.

In Virginia Union's win against Johnson C. Smith, Bethel had 14 kills and 16 defensive digs.  Teammate Akira Baker had 14 digs and Esha Atkins had 25 assists.

Virginia Union is now 6-2 on the season and 2-1 in the CIAA.

The Lady Panthers now return to historic Barco-Stevens Hall to face Washington Adventist University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20.
