Box Score Virginia Union University's Robert Valentine scored 12 points, but Bowie State University defeated VUU 83-64 on Wednesday, February 10, in Bowie, Md.

VUU's Kory Cooley and Devin Moore scored 11 points apiece while Tavon Mealy scored 10 points and led the Panthers with eight rebounds.

Virginia Union's Ray Anderson also scored 10 points in the game.

The loss dropped VUU to 12-13 overall and 5-8 in CIAA play.  The Panthers stayed in second place in the Northern Division of the CIAA with a 4-3 divisional record.

Bowie State is now 14-10 overall and 7-5 in the CIAA.  The Bulldogs, however, are behind the Panthers in the divisional standings with a 3-3 divisional record.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Lincoln University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
