Six Virginia Union University football players have earned All-CIAA honors, the CIAA announced on Tuesday, November 8.
VUU's
Abraham Garcia,
Lavatiae Kelly,
William Stanback and
Miles Pace were named to the All-CIAA First Team while
Rodeshawn Joseph was named the All-CIAA Second Team.
Virginia Union's
Shamdu Nalls was named Honorable Mention All-CIAA.
Kelly, a 6-2 junior from Miami, Fla., made All-CIAA at three different positions. Kelly made the team as a wide receiver, a kick returner and a punt returner.
Garcia, a 6-6 senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., made All-CIAA as an offensive lineman.
Stanback, a senior from Hempstead, N.Y., was named All-CIAA as a running back after rushing for 1,299 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Pace, a 6-2 senior from Miami, Fla., was named to the All-CIAA team as a defensive lineman after getting 35 tackles this season.
Joseph, a 6-1 senior defensive back from Pompano Beach, Fla., was named to the All-CIAA Second Team at defensive back.
Nalls, a 6-4 junior from Baltimore, Md., was given Honorable Mention as an offensive lineman.
