Box Score Virginia Union University's James Paige led the Panthers with 18 points as VUU defeated Cheyney University 90-63 on Wednesday, November 16, in Cheyney, Pa.

Paige hit 6 of 10 shots from the field while also leading the Panthers with 13 rebounds in the win.

VUU's Ray Anderson scored 13 points and dished off a team-high five assists.

Virginia Union's Kory Cooley added 12 points in the win.

The win kept VUU undefeated with a 3-0 record.  Cheyney fell to 0-3.

Virginia Union now returns to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall to open the 2016-17 home season in the VUU Holiday Inn I-65 West End Classic.  Virginia Union will play Post University at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, with Elizabeth City State University playing Washington Adventist University at 7:00 p.m.

Elizabeth City State will play Post University at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, with VUU playing Washington Adventist at 4:00 p.m.
