Box Score Ray Anderson and Kory Cooley each scored 22 points as Virginia Union University cruised past St. Augustine's University 85-53 in a non-conference match-up on Monday, January 4, in Raleigh, N.C.

Anderson added four assists and a pair of steals, and he surpassed 1,000 career points. He and Cooley were both 8 of 13 from the field.

Ke'Andre Gibson had 12 points and five assists, and Danny McElroy added 10 for VUU.

The win raised VUU's record to 6-7 on the season while Saint Augustine's fell to 5-7.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Shaw University at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
