Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson scored 16 points, but Virginia State University defeated VUU in the Battle of I-95 South, held at the Arthur Ashe Center on Sunday, December 6, in Richmond, Va.

Anderson also led the Panthers on the boards with nine rebounds.

VUU's Danny McElroy also scored 10 points in the game.

Virginia Union's Ke'Andre Gibson also dished off nine assists.

The loss evened VUU's record to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in the CIAA.  Virginia State is now 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Cheyney, Pa., to face Cheyney University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12.
