Box Score Virginia Union University's Tavon Mealy scored 24 points to lead the Panthers to an 86-84 win over Bluefield State College on Thursday, December 3, in Bluefield, W.V.

Mealy hit 12 of 15 shots from the field while also grabbing seven rebounds.

VUU's Ray Anderson added 22 points in the win.

Virginia Union's Danny McElroy led the Panthers on the boards with eight rebounds.

The win raised VUU's record to 4-3 while Bluefield State fell to 1-8.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Virginia State University in the Battle of I-95 South.  The Panthers and the Trojans will meet in the Arthur Ashe Center at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, in Richmond, Va.
