Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson scored 28 points to lead the Panthers to a 74-53 win over Cheyney University on Saturday, December 12, in Cheyney, Pa.

Anderson scored 20 of his points in the first half alone as VUU took a 35-29 halftime lead.

VUU's Tavon Mealy scored 18 points while teammate Danny McElroy pulled down 13 rebounds.

As a team, Virginia Union out-rebounded Cheyney 39-22.

The win raised VUU's record to 5-4 while Cheyney dropped to 1-7 on the season.

The Panthers now travel to Glenville, W.V., to play Glenville State College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15.
