Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson hit two free throws with four seconds left to lift the Panthers to a 73-71 win over the University of Charleston on Sunday, November 29, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Anderson finished with 20 points for the Panthes.

VUU's Kory Cooley had 19 points while teammates Danny McElroy and Tavon Mealy had 10 points apiece.

Virginia Union's Ke'Andre Gibson dished out seven assists in the win.

The win raised VUU's record to 3-2 while Charleston dropped to 2-4.

The Panthers now travel to Bluefield, W.V., to play Bluefield State College at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 3.
