Bullard Records Second Straight 20-Point Game

Box Score Virginia Union University's D'Andre Bullard scored 20 or more points for the second straight game as he led VUU in scoring with 20 points, but Chowan University defeated the Panthers 87-73 on Saturday, January 31, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU had four players reach double-figures in the game.

Virginia Union's Ray Anderson and Robert Valentine scored 13 points apiece while Avery Jirmnson added 12 points in the game.

Bullard also led VUU with eight assists while Anderson led the Panthers on the boards with seven rebounds.

The loss dropped VUU to 6-15 overall and 2-9 in the CIAA.  Chowan is now 11-9 overall and 5-6 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now remains at home as the Panthers face Winston-Salem State University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
