Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson scored 23 points, but Saint Augustine's University defeated the Panthers 72-66 on Monday, January 12, in Raleigh, N.C.

Anderson hit 10 of 18 shots from the floor en route to his game-high scoring.

VUU's Robert Valentine and Franky Johnson scored 11 points apiece in the game.

Virginia Union's Colton Lewis led the Panthers on the boards with seven rebounds.

The loss dropped VUU to 4-12 overall and 0-6 in CIAA play.  Saint Augustine's is now 7-8 overall and 1-4 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now returns to Richmond, Va., to face Virginia State University in the 2015 Freedom Classic, to be played at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, in the Richmond Coliseum.
