Box Score Virginia Union University's Avery Jirmnson scored 22 points Omar Briggs recorded a double-double for the sixth straight game, but Elizabeth City State University edged VUU 84-82 in overtime on Tuesday, February 4, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Omar Briggs scored 14 points and grabbed 17 rebounds and also added four blocks to cap off his night.

Virginia Union's freshman stand-out Ray Andersons scored 17 points and dished out six assists.

The loss dropped VUU to 6-15 overall and 6-5 in the CIAA.  Elizabeth City State is now 11-10 overall and 5-7 in CIAA play.

The Panthers take to the road to face Bowie State University on Wednesday, February 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Bowie, Md.
