Virginia Union University's C'Evon Jones won the women's 60-meters at the CNU Holiday Open with a time of 7.49 seconds, held on Saturday, December 6, at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.

Jones' performance has placed her at the #2 spot in the entire nation.

Jones was also sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 25:58.

VUU's 4 x 400 meter relay team of Daniaria Brice, Eboni Watford, Brinae Robinson and Imani Jackson placed fifth with a time of 4:02.84.

Watford also placed 11th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.73.

VUU's Brionna Singleton was 10th in the high jump with a leap of 1.52 meters.

Virginia Union now travels to Fairfax, Va., to compete in the Father Diamond Relays, hosted by George Mason University on Saturday, January 10.
