The Virginia Union University women's indoor track & field team placed sixth at the CIAA Indoor Championships, recording the highest-scoring indoor conference championship finish in program history.
VUU Head Track & Field Coach Franck Charles praised the depth and collective effort that fueled the breakthrough showing.
"They scored the most points in school history, and I couldn't be more proud of this group," said Charles. "In past years, we may have had one or two ladies scoring, but this time, six women contributed to making this the highest-scoring indoor championship performance in program history. On top of that, we set three brand-new school records. That speaks to depth, growth, and belief."
