Box Score Virginia Union University's D'Andre Bullard scored 18 points to lead the Panthers to a 76-71 win over West Virginia State University in the opening game of the West Virginia State Earl Lloyd Classic on Saturday, November 15, in Institute, W.V.

Bullard was 6-of-11 from the floor as VUU's new head coach Tony Sheals picked up his first win as Panther coach.

VUU's Ray Anderson scored 16 points while teammate Ronald Whaley added 12 points in the win.

Virginia Union's Avery Jirmnson also scored 11 points and Colton Lewis pulled down 10 rebounds.

The win gave VUU a 1-0 record.  The Panthers will face Notre Dame College at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, on the second day of the Earl Lloyd Classic in Institute, W.V.
