Box Score Virginia Union University's Omar Briggs scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds as VUU defeated Lincoln University 75-71 on Saturday, January 25, in Lincoln University, Pa.

It marked the fourth straight game where Briggs had reached double-figures in both scoring and rebounding.

VUU's Avery Jirmnson and Ray Anderson both added 17 points for the Panthers in the win.

Virginia Union's Akani Salako also reached double-figures with 15 points.

The win raised VUU's record to 5-14 overall and 4-6 in the CIAA. Lincoln is now 13-5 overall and 5-4 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now returns home to Barco-Stevens Hall to face Elizabeth City State University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, in Richmond, Va.
