Box Score Virginia Union University's Avery Jirmnson and Omar Briggs recorded double-doubles, but Bowie State University defeated VUU 81-70 on Wednesday, January 22, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Briggs finished the night with 12 rebounds, 19 points, and five blocks getting it done on both ends of the court.

Jirmnson ended his night with the teams second double-double with 10 rebounds and 19 points. He also added seven assists.

VUU's Ray Anderson added 12 points in the game.  

Wednesday night's loss drops the Panthers to 4-14 with a conference record of 3-6. The Panthers are on the road Saturday (1/25/14) at Lincoln University.
