Box Score Virginia Union University's Avery Jirmnson scored 32 points, but Fayetteville State University defeated VUU 94-77 on Saturday, January 11, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Despite the team's loss, the consistent play of Jirmnson continues to be a bright spot on the season.  Jirmnson also had five assists in the game.

VUU's Ken Pankey put up 15 points and went 4-for-4 from the free throw line, while teammate Omar Briggs grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with 3 blocks.

Saturday's loss drops the Panthers to 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the CIAA.

The Panthers continue their home stand on Monday, January 13, when they go head-to-head with the Falcons of Saint Augustine's University at 7:30 p.m. in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
