Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson scored 19 points, but Johnson C. Smith University defeated the Panthers 65-59 in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall on Wednesday, November 20, in Richmond, Va.

Anderson hit eight of 17 shots from the field.

VUU's Avery Jirmnson added 11 points in the game while Te'Quan Alers led the Panthers with seven rebounds.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 0-4 on the season while Johnson C. Smith is now 5-0.

VUU now travels to Saint Leo, Fla., to compete in the Saint Leo Ames Classic.  Virginia Union will face Saint Leo University on Friday, November 22, and will then face Rollins College on Saturday, November 23.
