Box Score Virginia Union University's Juan Wilson and Marcel Crump scored 11 points apiece, but Elizabeth City State University defeated VUU 82-58 on Wednesday, January 30, in Elizabeth City, N.C.

VUU's Wesley Simmons added 10 points for the Panthers in the game.

Virginia Union's Michael Wynn, Kimar Johnson and Omar Briggs tied for high rebounding honors for the Panthers with five boards apiece.

Elizabeth City State was paced by Angelo Sharpless' 30 points.

The loss dropped VUU to 5-12 overall on the season and 3-7 in CIAA play.  Elizabeth City State is now 13-7 overall and 6-4 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Chowan University at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
