Box Score Virginia Union University's Ken Pankey led the Panthers with 11 points, but Shaw University defeated VUU 92-62 on Thursday, January 10, in Spaulding Gym in Raleigh, N.C.

Pankey, who came off the bench in the second half, hit four of nine shots from the field and was 3-of-6 in three-pointers.

Pankey was the only Panther to reach double-figures in scoring.

VUU's Te'Quan Alers led the Panthers with six rebounds.

Shaw University was led by Curtis Hines' 28 points and Karron Johnson's 11 rebounds.

The loss dropped VUU to 2-9 overall and 0-4 in CIAA play.  Shaw is now 10-4 and 4-0 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Fayetteville, N.C., to face Fayetteville State University at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 12.
