Virginia Union University and CIAA Hall of Famer Charles Oakley will be bringing his new straight-to-web cooking show to Hovey Field when VUU meets Lincoln University on October 6 for the VUU Homecoming game.

Oakley, whose show "Cafe Oakley" features the former National Basketball Association star as the host and chef, allows Oakley to showcase his culinary skills.

Oakley, 48, still holds the VUU record with 1,664 rebounds in a career which spanned 1981 to 1985.  

Oakley gained his cooking skills from his mother, who cooked soul food for many NBA players during the 19 seasons he spent in the NBA.
