Harris Scores 18 Points to Lead VUU to 87-76 Win

Box Score Virginia Union University's Damion Harris scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Panthers to an 87-76 win over Lincoln University on Saturday, February 18, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Harris hit eight of 14 shots while also grabbing a team-high eight rebounds in the win.

VUU's Juan Wilson scored 15 points while teammate James Theus added 11 points in the win.

Virginia Union's Wesley Simmons and Calvin Brown scored 10 points apiece for the Panthers.

The win put VUU in sole possession of first place of the Northern Division of the CIAA.  The Panthers can clinch the top seed in the Northern Division with a win on Monday.

The win raised VUU's record to 15-11 overall and 10-4 in the CIAA.  The win was also the ninth in the last 10 games for the Panthers.

The loss dropped Lincoln to 11-15 overall and 6-9 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now faces Bowie State University in the home finale of the 2011-12 season on Monday, February 20, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
