Box Score Virginia Union University's Calvin Brown scored 19 points while teammate Damion Harris grabbed 11 rebounds to lead VUU to a 62-58 win over Chowan University on Monday, February 13, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

Brown went 8-for-16 from the field while teammate Juan Wilson added 17 points in the win.

Chowan was led by Kyree Bethel's 19 points and Quinton McDuffie's nine rebounds.

The win raised VUU's record to 14-11 overall and 9-4 in CIAA play.  The Panthers are now 6-1 in the Northern Division of the CIAA, and are in a virtual tie with Bowie State University for first place in the division.

The loss dropped Chowan to 7-20 overall and 1-14 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now returns home to Barco-Stevens Hall to face Lincoln University at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, in Richmond, Va.
