Box Score Virginia Union University's Cordero Holt scored 20 points, but Lincoln University outlasted VUU to pull off an 86-81 win over the Panthers on Monday, January 30, in Lincoln University, Pa.

Holt hit seven of 13 shots from the field while teammate Aaron Smith recorded 14 points in the game.

VUU's Damion Harris had 11 points and Calvin Brown had 10 points to go with a team-high seven rebounds.

Lincoln was led by Denzel Mooney's 28 points.

The loss evened VUU's record to 11-11 overall and 6-4 in the CIAA.  The loss was also the first divisional loss for the Panthers, who are now 3-1 in the Northern Division of the CIAA.

Lincoln is now 9-12 overall and 4-6 in the CIAA.  The Lions are 2-2 in the CIAA's Northern Division.

VUU now travels to Bowie, Md., to face Bowie State University at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 2.
