Virginia Union University's Brandon Bailey shot a 20-over-par 164 to finish 12th at the CIAA Southern Division Golf Tournament, held March 7 & 8 at the Stryker Golf Club in Fayetteville, N.C.

Although the Panthers weren't able to compete as a team due to an injury to Mason Simpson, VUU's remaining three members were able to compete as individuals.

Bailey shot an 84 on the first day of the tournament, then followed it with a second-day score of 80.

VUU's Dellino Wilson shot a two-day score of 199 to finish 37th while teammate Stephen Velasquez shot a two-day score of 261 to place 49th.

Virginia Union will now compete in the Virginia State Invitational at Fort Lee, Va., on March 14.
