Virginia Union University's women's bowling team finished 5-6 at the CIAA Bowling Round-Up, held February 4-7 at the AMF Laurel Lanes in Bowie, Md.

The Round-Up was hosted by Bowie State University.

VUU's Kristen Clay had the two highest scores for the Lady Panthers during the Round-Up.  Clay bowled a score of 236 against Lincoln University and then bowled a score of 234 against Fayetteville State University.

The Round-Up was highlighted by Bowie State University's Verra Diggs, who was named the Tournament MVP.  Diggs bowled the first perfect game in CIAA history on the opening day of the Round-Up.

The Lady Panthers will now travel to Franklin, Va., to compete in the CIAA Eastern Divisional Meet II, to be held February 11-13.  This meet was rescheduled from January 28-30 due to inclement weather.
