Virginia Union University's women's bowling team placed fifth at the CIAA Northern Division Round-Up, held February 18-20 in Franklin, Va.
The Lady Panthers went 3-12 at the Round-Up, behind winner Bowie State University, Elizabeth City State University, Saint Paul's College and Virginia State University.
VUU had a total pinnage of 8,605 over the three-day event. Bowie State won with a total pinnage of 10,225.
VUU's Kristin Clay was the top Lady Panther finisher, placing 11th individually with an average score of 163.37. Clay also had the highest single-game score of any Virginia Union bowler with a score of 198.

Brittany Abraham was 22nd with an average of 154.50 while Tocarra Brown was 30th with an average of 138.82.
Alexandria Burns was 38th with an average of 130.00 and Rachel Washington was 40th with an average of 129.45.
Virginia Union will now bowl in the CIAA Northern Division Round-Up III on February 25-27 at Bowl America Lanes in Midlothian, Va.
