Virginia Union University's men's basketball team ran it's win streak to four games as
Braxton Byerson scored 30 points to lead VUU to a 79-73 win over Livingstone College on February 16 in Salisbury, N.C.
Byerson hit nine of 17 shots from the field, including six three-pointers in the win.
VUU's
Wayne Ford added 14 points while teammate Josh Miller scored 11 points. Byerson and
Gregory Redford led the Panthers with six rebounds apiece.
Livingstone was led in scoring by Darius Cox's 20 points while Greg Henry grabbed 11 boards.
The win raised VUU's record to 13-7 overall and 11-4 in the CIAA. The loss dropped Livingstone to 12-10 overall and 7-7 in CIAA play.
VUU now travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to face the Lions of Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on February 19.
